FINALLY pics of the little guys!

So, some of these pictures are out of order, sorry it was just the way I uploaded them.

My sons...yep, I have sons, turned ten weeks old on Wednesday. I go back to work in two weeks. Time flies, it truly does. I've been getting into the swing of motherhood bit by bit. We've had some rough patches. AJ had some latch issues and didn't gain sufficient weight at his 2 month appointment (not the all pediatricians everywhere...please do not use the term FAILURE TO THRIVE lightly) so I've been supplementing him with bottles after every time he nurses. We went back after a week and he gained a pound and a half which is awesome. We go again on Monday to make sure he keeps gaining weight well. I may have to switch to formula earlier than I had planned but that's alright, whatever is best for my little guys.

Whew, that was a paragraph.

How about some pictures?

The first picture is me on Christmas morning. I look at this picture and I am beyond shocked that I was that big and that I carried a six pound baby and a five pound baby in there. Yowza.

I didn't get into too many details about the birth, but I had some complications. I ended up hemorrhaging after my surgery and had to get another surgery that night to remove a clot. I was given two pints of blood. All those times I donated blood for someone else and I ended up needing it myself. Because I can't donate for at least a year my mom and J are each going to donate a pint for me in my honor.

It was rough and those first two days still seem kinda blurry to me. I mentioned that J was a rock star and he truly was. I couldn't get out of bed that first night so he was the one soothing babies and changing diapers and cleaning pump parts. He learned to swaddle and figured out how to give a baby a bottle and did it all with a smile and with a fierce amount of pride. He loves those boys with all of his heart. Every few days, when we're holding babies in the middle of the night or eating dinner with one hand, he'll turn to me with a grin on his face and say, "We made these two. Isn't it amazing?"

Ok, didn't I say there were pictures coming?
